
The Rules at Sparrow Song & the Rockford Region
(They're actually pretty short. Please read them.)
GENERAL RULES
1. This is an ADULT rated sim.
- Children, child-like avatars, or any avatars appearing to be underage, are NOT allowed. Period.
- There are NO exceptions. (The management’s opinion is the only one that matters in this case.)
2. This is an Open-Rez sim.
- Anyone thought to be “griefing” or otherwise intentionally causing sim performance issues may be banned without warning.
- Any items that are “left behind” by visitors can (and likely will) be returned to their owners without notice.
3. The Main Gate is to be used.
- Visitors should pass through the Main Gate.
- If you wish to announce your visit, please use the Bell.
- Teleporting into the public spaces of the village is not allowed.
4. This is a Roleplay sim.
- Event Days! (WILL BE POSTED AT THE MAIN GATE)
NO Raiding Allowed on Event Days!
The main village is open to ALL respectful visitors.
- The Market Space & Group Workshop:
Are always open to visitors.
Are ALWAYS considered SAFE ZONES.
(Roleplay and theme-attire are optional.)
- Visitors to the main village, on non-event days, should:
Be wearing a GM -or- zCS Meter.
(Both are available on the dock.)
Either be IC or tagged as an Observer.
QUICK RAID RULES

RAIDS MUST INITIATE FROM THE LANDING POINT (DOCK).

2:1 ratio (2 attackers to each SS villager)

At least one emote must name avatar that is being attacked. You tie them, you aid them, etc. You must name them and/or the weapon being removed. 5 word minimum.

3 EMOTES: Binding, Hogtie, Self-Unbind, Aid, Lock picking (shout), Grappling (shout), 5 words each minimum.

1 EMOTE: Dis-arming (name weapons). Repairing lock, Stealing keys, Bandaging, Cutting grapple, Un-Binding, Sailing (at dock), Re-arming (shout), Any Non-Raid Attack (and allow victim to draw and emote) 5 words required.

KILL - 5 emotes after one hour of RP (applies to animals AND slaves) Please check RP limits.

WEAPONS - 1 Melee, 1 Ranged, 1 Other

ALL SLAVE WEAPONS are to be set to slave-damage.

RESCUES - 1 Hour between capture and rescue, All rescuers must be IC.

Stealing, lock-picking and grappling (on empty sim): Send RP NC to one of the administrators.

NO Mod Calls in mid-battle.

Do not refuse stealing keys.

!!SAFE ZONES!!- G&S Market, workshop area and all private homes. (OOC consent must be gained to enter homes.)

Signs will be displayed during events if closed to raiders.

GM and zCS meters are both used and accepted (available at the dock).

MERCHANT'S RULES
1. RENT
- Shop stalls are first come, first served.
- There is a 72 hour “grace period” after rent expires. After that, items will be returned and the meter reset.
- There are no refunds on rental payments.
2. PRIMS
- The allotted prims for each stall is noted in the rent meter.
- Availability and allowance of additional prims are not guaranteed but may be requested from a manager.
- Prim overages will result in steps being taken to resolve the issue. Possibly including:

Increase of prim allotment and rental price.

Return of items until within limits.

Termination of rental.
3. SIGNS
- A shop sign is provided.
- Additional signs will not exceed a height of 1.5 meters and the width of your space.
- Nothing outside of your stall may use full-bright or glow.
4. MERCHANDISE
- Items allowed in the SS Market:

G&S items and supplies of all sorts.
-
General Gorean, Viking or Torvaldsland items.
-
Roleplay weapons, tools and accessories.
-
Gorean animals and typical “farm animals”.
- NOT ALLOWED -
-
items that are completely off-theme or child-related.

Anything against the Linden Labs rules will NOT be allowed.

Management reserves the right to deny any merchandise.
NOTE:
Sparrow Song is a roleplay sim that participates in metered combat.
The market space and group workshop areas are considered SAFE ZONES!
Both are roleplay and themed-attire optional.

- Renters are each given a Platform Space (at 1500 meters).

A maximum range of 1 meter is allowed.

If placed by your door, this should prove effective.
- Items rezzed under the land group:

Are accessible by everyone in that group.

Change your item’s group, if concerned.
5. NOT ALLOWED:
- Problem Items:

Scanners, greeters, counters, radios, media players, etc.
-
You may be asked to remove any item that causes sim performance issues.
- Visible, off-theme items. (No motorcycles, or palm trees!)
